Loafers have a laceless design for easy on and off. Simple uppers work with tailored trousers or business casual outfits; choose tassels, straps and suede textures according to your style. For formal occasions, check the dress code before choosing a style for its convenience.
How do you compare straps, tassels and suede?
- Strap loafers: A strap across the upper creates a simple line that works with tailored trousers, chinos or jeans.
- Tassel loafers: Tassel detailing adds another layer to the look.
- Smooth and suede finishes: Smooth leather has a cleaner look, while suede or brushed textures appear softer. Choose care products according to the particular material.
- Natural leather and microfiber: This collection includes different upper materials. Compare the information on each product page rather than assuming all loafers use the same leather.
The appearance is only the first step. Similar-looking loafers may use different lasts, so instep and forefoot space can vary even in the same size.
Work or weekends? Match the trousers you wear most
For work, compare black or dark brown with tailored trousers and business casual outfits. For weekends, consider your chinos and jeans when comparing brown, navy or suede styles. Check three areas when trying on loafers
- Forefoot: Allow room to move your toes without clear pressure at the sides. A larger size will not resolve every width issue.
- Instep: The upper should hold the foot appropriately. Excessive tightness or local pressure is a reason to compare another last.
- Heel: Walk a few steps and check that the heel does not slip out noticeably. Do not rely only on thicker socks to compensate for an overly loose fit.

Can you wear loafers to work?
That depends on your office dress code. Compare simple loafers for business casual outfits. For a more formal suit, also compare Oxfords and Derbys.
Should you always buy a smaller size to stop heel slipping?
A fixed size reduction is not recommended. Foot length, width, instep height and the last all affect how the shoe holds your foot. Wear your usual socks, walk a few steps and check both forefoot and heel fit.
Can you wear loafers without socks?
Compare the fit according to how you normally wear them. If you use no-show socks, bring the same type for your fitting, as sock thickness affects the fit.
Are all the sizes shown online in stock?
Availability depends on the selected model, colour and size combination. Ask about online or in-store arrangements rather than judging availability from the size options alone.
Can you exchange an online order that does not fit?
